Critical Mass/Cycle Jerusalem is an organization that advocates to advance the situation for bicycles in Jerusalem. We work together with other environmental organizations to encourage the city to be more bicycle friendly, environmentally friendly, and pedestrian friendly. Additionally, we lobby city hall, meet with top decision makers, conduct group rides, and organize educational events, keeping you informed of bicycle friendly organizations, businesses, and political figures.

The municipal gardens of the city gardens work together with the residents to promote local initiatives to develop and nurture the surrounding environment and create a vibrant urban space that carries with it vitality and continuity. The Community Administration helps raise awareness of environmental and sustainability issues and supports community activities that take place in community gardens, doing tree protection in the city, reducing garbage and recycling through the “green bin” venture, and other urban sustainability initiatives. This activity is a lever for promoting quality of life and community and a model for urban sustainability in the city of Jerusalem

The “Green Bins” initiative, a joint venture of the Jerusalem Municipality – Sanitation Division, the Ministry of the Environment and Community Administration.is a first model of its kind, encouraging residents in the city to separate food residues (wet trash) to create compost (fertilizer), in multi-tenant residential buildings, in private homes In organizations and schools. .We will assist you in choosing a suitable location for putting the compost, provide all building occupants with professional guidance, and accompany you throughout the process.

Works to catalyze a transition to a sustainable, thriving, and spiritually-aware society through the leadership of faith communities. ICSD reveals the connection between religion and ecology and mobilizes faith communities to act. ICSD manifests these goals primarily through four projects. First, the Faith Inspired Renewable Energy Project, in cooperation with faith institutions in Africa and a renewable energy developer, deploys solar and wind fields to bring electricity to Africans, reduce indoor air pollution and deforestation, and curb climate change. Second, the Interfaith Eco Seminary Engagement Project promotes teaching of ecologically informed theological education, to spur courageous moral leadership for sustainability. Third, short videos provide an effective vehicle for delivering our unique faith-based ecological perspective on Facebook, Twitter, ICSD’s blog, and YouTube. Fourth, ICSD co-organizes Interfaith Environmental Conferences that amplify the voices of religious leaders and scientists on spirituality and ecology.

The site preserves natural values, including a large herd of deer, and unique archeological finds that few of the world’s capital cities can boast. Its strategic location at the entrance to the city makes these public assets particularly prominent. Residents of Jerusalem and the general public need a park designed as a green meadow and open space for recreational and recreational use, and now, as a result of the horrific fire, nature needs a nature park especially at the open observatory.
